Its a Bird Its a Plane
Its a Bird Its a Plane On March 29, 1966, Charles Strouse and Lee Adams introduced their new musical, It’s A Bird, It’s A Plane, It’s Superman, cleverly staged by Harold Prince, who also produced it, and starring the Man of Steel himself, Bob Holiday in the title role.
The water levels are a little low here on the Mississippi River, this Eagle looks like he has been playing in the mud.
And this flew over as I was sitting in my chair by the river photographing birds.
And then this flew over, it seemed pretty close being I can almost read the numbers on it as it went over. Plus a train sounding its horn in the background. It wasn’t the quietest of mornings.
But at sunset, all that white noise disappears and the sound of silence returns.

This is beautiful Sandra. I love how you picture mother nature.
Thank you very much 🙂
You’re so much welcome
Never seen a chopper that close.
They were pretty close on this day. 🙂
It’s a bird
It’s a Plane
It’s a Noisy, Crappy morning
Keep laughing
🙂 yep,
The sky was filled with “winged things” and you captured them all from your chair. 🙂 Very interesting and different! That’s a beautiful eagle shot Sandra.
Thank you Linda, he surprised me when he flew by, because I didn’t recognize it at first being his white head wasn’t so white. 🙂
Yes, you said he had been playing in the mud as I recall. 🙂
Very, very good!
Thank you very much. 😊
I love that sunset! It should be hanging in a gallery. So beautiful.
Thank you very much, I appreciate hearing that. 💕
🙂🌏🏞
I prefer the eagle! Even if he’s muddy…!
Thanks, Sandra, have a nice day.
So do I Francine 🙂 thank you and a great day to you also 🙂
So beautiful!
Thank you Nuno 🙂
The mighty eagle is still the best flying thing over the Mississippi. 🙂 But it was an interesting montage. Thank you!
You are very welcome Jo, it wasn’t the quietest morning. But, sometimes it is like that.😊
stunning and such great pictures! Did you really take these? ❤️ Cindy
Thank you Cindy, I did take these photos Cindy, bird photography is my passion, but I pretty much like to photography everything and everything when I am out an about. On this day the airways were kind of busy 🙂
WoW!!! amazing! what kind of camera do you use? ❤️ Cindy
I use a Nikon D7500, and an array of lenses, but I also have a little bridge camera, they have a bit of a zoom built in, and are a lot lighter for some of the hikes I go on. 🙂
that’s great to know. Thanks. what is a bridge camera? I need light too.. ❤️
Bridge cameras have a zoom lens built into the camera so you don’t need to change lenses. There are quite a few on the market these days. They sometimes are not good in low light situations. I use a Panasonic and it takes great close ups and video. And the zoom is good up to 400mm.
Thanks for that. It’s fun taking pics and a small one might do it, it’s just one more thing to haul. It might be a good year to invest! Thanks so much! ❤️🙏🙏🙏
You are very welcome. 😊
❤️
Where is Superman? Your camera, lenses, and stability of the picture, astonishes me, Sandra! GOD bless you and your family!
Thank you Kent, I really enjoy what I do, the plane was a little to close for my lens, it appeared to be flying slow but it was still hard to keep up with it holding the camera. 🙂
I don’t remember ever seeing a mud-streaked eagle, before.
Your title brought to mind, “It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a frog! A frog?!?! Not bird, nor plane, nor even frog. It’s just little old me, Underdog.”
lol, I have not heard that one. So cute Herb, underdog. I have never seen an eagle that dirty either, and the water is really low here, so I am guessing he missed judged the depth or was just having fun. Thank you Herb.
