Golden Pancakes with Syrup

Golden Pancakes with Syrup

Golden Pancakes with Syrup, or is it? Growing in the wild, shinning with the utmost glory of the warmest color of golden brown. Laced with droplets of syrup/water to make them even more edible in appearance.

Well, I have no idea what kind of mushroom these are, but I am going to guess they probably might not be edible just because they look so good.

The water droplets actually did look like syrup, I did not touch them. But it had not rained at all when I saw these. So it could be a syrup substance coming from the mushroom to make them look more enticing.

We did leave them alone and in this whole park that we hiked at, this is the only place we saw these mushrooms. So they must be special, even the park workers mowed around them. Just a little golden nugget to start your day.

    1. I have not heard of this, so very interesting. I will have to read more about it. There sure are some amazing wonders around the world.

      1. I’m glad I passed it along to you then Sandra. I have not seen this very large fungus but was listening to the radio one time and someone was on describing it so I Googled it at that time and read about it, how old it was and how extensive it is. I was pretty amazed. Yes, there are lots of amazing wonders and some that are not well known like this. I hope you get to see it one time.

  1. What a wonderful golden colour, they remind me of the gold-foil covered chocolate coins I used to get in my Christmas stocking, though your pancake analogy is better with the drops as syrup. Lovely.
