Interesting Perspectives in Nature

Interesting Perspectives in Nature

Interesting Perspectives in Nature, on average when I am out in nature I try to find places that might have some great landscapes opportunities to photograph and wildlife of course.

But that doesn’t always happen, somedays there just isn’t much around for scenery. That is when I look for the little things that catch my attention. Like this photo below, it was a very cloudy day and dark in the woods. But there was just a little bit of sun light coming through the clouds lighting up leaves here and there, making it appear that the leaf itself was Light.

My husband is starting to see the little things as well, not just the big picture. He took these two photos below. And with a Go Pro Camera, go pro are mostly meant for videos, but when the light is just right they can take a good photo as well.

This first photo is actually a hollowed out tree on the edge of a lake, and the flowers were growing in the bottom of the stump. So you are looking from the top of the stump down into the water.

        1. Would you give my the link to your you tube channel again. I started a new file so I can save my favorites in it. It is so hard to find the ones I like sometimes because so much comes up in the feed.

  1. Sandra, thank you for this post! I love the point of view you and your husband are able to capture! The way you talked about the leafs glowing in a way really painted the picture in my mind of what the scene may have looked like for you. There’s a picture I took that reminds me of something similar. It’s absolutely amazing how Mother Nature can show her true beauty in moments of darkness. You have a great perspective with your photography and writing. I look forward to reading more of your posts!

    1. Thank you very much, I appreciate that. Because of photography, I have learned to look at the little things in life more. There are so many small details all around us that just shine when I slow down to really see them. Thank you again and have a wonderful evening.

  2. These are beautiful photos Sandra – amazing how the perspective changes, like in the second-to-the last photo. The vibrant colored leaves at the beginning seem to glow in the dark.

  3. Each capture is wonderful and creative, great work by both of you! Now you have competition, Sandra! 😉 Just kidding! hehe I have tried to put a camera in my husband’s hand but he really has no interest. So far. But I am proud of him when he is the first to point out a bird before me, and now calls out their names. 🙂

    1. Yes, my husband does the same thing and loves to go with on nature adventures. Actually my husband is a portrait photographer. He had his own studio and did weddings and such. But that is completely different because he could control the lighting in the studio, so he has to change his way of thinking out in nature and is loving finding new ways to photograph it. He says it is more fun to photograph nature.🙂

  4. I’m always a big fan of things that break the pattern some organism that is doing it’s own thing…usually a dog. 4, and 7 year old leaping from my canoe. 😃

    1. Thank you very much Don, photography really helps me to look at nature closer. I love finding little treasures as simple as a leaf lit up by a touch of sunlight. Have a wonderful day Don.

  5. I was the 100th liker of this post. 🙂 No wonder! The pictures are amazing. Love the last one very, very much. 💕

      1. And the fact that it has both dead nature and living nature in it and it looks so perfect. I swear, Nature is the most talented artist. And you have an eye for beauty.

        1. Yes, that is it exactly Jo, sometimes you really have to look to see the beauty like that, most people probably did not even look into the stump, just passed it by like there was nothing there. 🙂

  6. Ich mag auch die Details sehr gerne. Die Suche nach schöne Dinge ist wie Abenteuer 😊 . Sehr schöne Fotos.

  7. Wonderfully living and beautiful pictures. The theme of the little things must be in the air, as yesterday I posted, “Take Care of the Little Things As Even the Big Things Are Little to the Universe Within.”

There are whole worlds at every scale in you and your husband’s pictures. The shot down the trunk is epic, plays tromp l’oeil with scales as if peering over a rocky cliff looking down, to simply the living still life “still-moving still life” that it also is. Thanks for these.

    1. Your words are just beautiful Jordan, yes the little things are so precious in this big world. Sometimes we miss them if we are rushing around to much worrying about the big things. I like that.

      1. Thank you Sandra. What a resonant accolade. I appreciate that. Thank you.
I agree on the rushing around oftentimes just causing us to miss things, oftentimes that we were rushing around looking for.
