William Bartram Trail

William Bartram Trail

William Bartram Trail, another park we stopped at not far from Savannah GA, a wonderful place to walk and see all the cool trees and some historical areas though out the forest. Old homestead grounds. We like visiting places like this. I enjoy reading all about the history of places now, never cared for it much back in school.

The trees are a piece of art even when they are blown over laying on the ground like this one.

  1. Interesting wood pieces and that Spanish Moss too. I was never a history buff either Sandra history bored me, but it is different when you see what happened and then you are seeing the place and sometimes the artifacts as well.

    1. Yes, getting to go to all these historic places makes a big difference wanting to learn more about it. πŸ™‚

    1. Yes, a lot of history in this area Emilie. This is a beautiful spot to walk around, they have a nice map that explains the area as well while you walk.

  2. I’m with you Sandra. I’ve always said that high schoolers should get to defer history until they’re at least 30! I wonder if those twisted fallen trees died due to a hurricane? They sure make interesting photos.

  3. Savannah is a beautiful and unique city. I’ll make sure to visit that park one day. I also appreciate the beauty of trees, standing or fallen.
