The Pink Birds
The Pink Birds – Roseate Spoonbills. As we made our way to the refuge this particular morning, I was in high hopes of finally getting a photo of these beautiful birds. We had spotted them flying the day before way off in the distance.
I had seen one of these birds, again, years ago. Only one and it was wading through the waters in a ditch. I just could not get a good photo of that one.
On our way out of this park on one particular day, these spoonbills flew right over us as we were driving on the road towards the exit.
We saw them land and quietly rolled up on them in the jeep, got out and took these shots. Now granted these spoonbills were very, very far away. But I am glad I finally got to see them in their habitat, a better habitat than the ditch.

Have a great weekend.
