
Anhinga Bird
Anhinga Bird – Now I have seen this bird years ago. Never had a good look at it like I have here at this park. There was only just this one, everyday we drove into the park. Here it was perched on this log. Snaking its neck back and forth looking around.
They do call it the snake bird as it dives into the water for its food and usually only see its head and neck snaking around in the water. I have not witnessed this.

This bird below looks so similar to the anhinga, I believe it is a double crested cormorant. The neck does not look quite as long. Some of our birding friends here on wordpress probably can confirm this for us. 🙂
