Happy Friday

Happy Friday

Happy Friday, it is the end of July already. I have two trees in my yard that have started to change color. That seems to early, but I do love the change of seasons and fall is my favorite one. I love the cooler temperatures and all the warm colors and sitting by the campfire on a cool evening. Have a wonderful weekend.

The Power of Emotions

The Power of Emotions

The Power of Emotions in black and white photography. This first photo below I created in photoshop. I see so much in this photo, not just black and white but so many different shades of gray. Which intern shows depth and soft lines to me. If you stare at it long enough, it almost looks like it is moving.

The Power of Emotions

If your intention is to concentrate on details, then color photography is the way to go, while if your goal is to depict emotions, reflect eternity or mood, then black and white photography may become your preference.

The Power of Emotions

Black-and-white photography looks more formal and serious, and while the photo may look simpler, the mood of the photo is more intense making it more emotional.

Emotional meaning, the world can turn things into black and white, it can stir up emotions of good or bad. One or the other, theirs’s or ours.

But if you look close enough, as like this moss growing on this tree in the middle of winter. It is still green, it is full of color. It is pleasing to look at, it brings hope of spring to come in the middle of winter.

The Power of Emotions

This moss survives in the coldest of weather, it is alive. It is creation, He shows us His hands in everything around us. He encourages us to take in nature, to communicate with Him. To see the beauty around us in this coldest season of the year.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,

We Can Learn from Wildlife

We Can Learn from Wildlife

We Can Learn from Wildlife, The snow turned into the big fluffy flakes today, floating gently down to the ground. As I am photographing these colorful birds at the feeder, I noticed them looking up. Does it not look like they are watching these snowflakes floating down around them?

Especially the female on the left in this photo, if you look close enough, there is a snowflake that just landed in her beak. I believe she is catching them just like we did when we were children.

And the male Grosbeak on the right is watching her, I love that. We are never to old to stop and enjoy nature, to catch snow flakes on our tongues. The birds are showing us to live in the moment, enjoy every minute.

We Can Learn from Wildlife

No one knows the tomorrow because it is already past your eyes. For tomorrow we do not know, but today is here, today we live.

My camera is my paint brush and the world is my canvas. A new day has begun and I am preparing to paint a new canvas today.

Song Birds of the Season

Song Birds of the Season

Song Birds of the Season, It did not take long for the birds to get used to my Christmas tree behind the feeder. It was sure fun watching them land on the table and than try to get a photo before they flew off. (bird video below)

This little gray bird is called the Tufted titmouse, I was surprised to see it this time of year. There is a video below of two of them at this feeder.
