Song Birds of the Season

Song Birds of the Season

Song Birds of the Season, It did not take long for the birds to get used to my Christmas tree behind the feeder. It was sure fun watching them land on the table and than try to get a photo before they flew off. (bird video below)

This little gray bird is called the Tufted titmouse, I was surprised to see it this time of year. There is a video below of two of them at this feeder.

  1. These are all beautiful bird pictures Sandra – I loved the look on the one bird who looked at it a little confused, but I will bet their eyes lit up to see all the sunflower seeds. How clever you were to get them to pose in front of the decorated tree … these shots would be perfect to use as a Christmas card. I am sorry, but I couldn’t find the video. I saw your name and clicked on it, thinking it was a link. Did I miss it?

  2. Your first picture would make a beautiful Christmas card! The tufted titmouse is one of our favorites. I enjoy listening to them sending messages across our tree line.

    1. Thank you very much, I know what you mean and that is why I put a video with it also when I can. Have a wonderful day 🙂

  3. Wonderful idea, Sandra. I’m surprised the birds seem so at home with the decorations. They look quite comfortable with. The fight went a little against the Christmas spirit, though. 🙂

  4. Very cute !
It is an American bird. Here in Europe we have someone looking a bit similar: the crested tit (Lophophanes cristatus).

    1. I looked that one up, it is very similar with the same little tuft of feathers on top of the head. Very pretty. 🙂 thank you

  5. OMG! They are so beautiful! The photographs I mean. The Christmas arrangement and the colorful birds… wow! Great job, Sandra. ❤️

    1. Thank you Jo, I thought it would be a great way to add some color to the photo. I had one bird land in the tree, but I did not get a shot of that. 🙂
