Happy Friday

Happy Friday

Happy Friday, it is the end of July already. I have two trees in my yard that have started to change color. That seems to early, but I do love the change of seasons and fall is my favorite one. I love the cooler temperatures and all the warm colors and sitting by the campfire on a cool evening. Have a wonderful weekend.

  1. Those softer, early-turning maples are striking, and definitely have a way of grabbing our attention.

  2. Fall is my favorite season too Sandra. It feels a little coolish, like Fall – I am loving it as we are creeping back into Summer’s heat. I am already seeing leaves on the ground, crumpled and brittle. I saw it at the park where I was last weekend and took pictures … yellow Poplar leaves.

      1. I saw the first geese in the Park today. I saw them overhead last week, but there was a good two dozen of them grazing and a guy came along with a riding mower and they all flew up. None were hurt, but startled. They are having track meets here at this park and the regular grass mowing crew only mow about every 6-7 weeks now, so someone comes to mow a strip about three feet wide, then they paint a stripe down it – the only part they mow … it looks like a mohawk. Anyway, he showed the geese who was boss and they scattered but not to the air surprisingly.

  3. I love fall too, the best weather on my aging body. I feel like we are in the late fall years of life since 70 are now considered middle age. What joke, there is no middle in the 70, maybe a few times of a burst of energy with less pain due to Tylenol. Fall is a comfort season, even more so then summer. Spring and summer means busy, busy, busy. Fall is put things up, get ready for winter and enjoy the great weather. We live in northern Mn. which has beautiful falls.

  4. I love fall too! I felt surprise with your trees already changing. I’m not quite ready but like others have said the colors are spectacular.

      1. It is, usually the temperatures are more tolerable with much lower or non existent humidity and the colors…but the knowledge that winter is closer sort of ruins it for me.

    1. I always do about this time of year also Gerry. It is 47 degrees F. This morning. Beautiful fall weather for one day.
