Good Thing It is Summer
Good Thing It is Summer or his tongue would stick to the metal. Be honest, who did that when you were younger. Had your tongue get stuck to a metal pole. I did, on the playground during recess. They dared me and I went ahead and tried it. But I barely touched it, I was only stuck for a few seconds. I never forgot it, good thing we get a little wiser as we get older.

Thank you, one would never see its tongue out without a snapshot. Amazing little birds.
That’s an amazing photo. I wouldn’t have guessed it’s the birds tongue! I’m not sure I ever tried the tongue on a metal pole but I tried other silly things and learned lessons. : )
Thank you, yes there are many events that are great lessons, especially when we are young.

🙂 thank you
Really? Were you so naughty? 🙂
Yes, but smart enough not to get stuck to the pole. 😅
It’s still Spring and No I did not stick my tongue to a cold metal poles………. yes to popsicles but no to poles.
I’ve always thought that someone could get away with doing this? If they dried their tongue and spread Vasaline on it I bet you could touch the pole and it wouldn’t stick! No water to freeze!
Of course Id’ get Mikey to test out my theory first!
Yes, Mikey would be the one to ask. Did you ever touch an electric wire. I was visiting a farm as a child and first thing they told me was to not touch the wire around the pasture. Later that day when no one was around I quick touched the wire and did not get a shock, so I thought I was immune to it, like I had special powers. So I grabbed the wire, and that electric pulse came through and knocked me to my butt. I turned to see if anyone was looking, then walked away with lesson learned.
no I have never touched an electric fence. I could always hear the pulse turning on and off and that was enough for me. We had a hand generator at the house that would make you jump If you grabbed the contacts!
