Blacked Necked Stilts – A tall but small-bodied shorebird with very long legs, a long neck, small head, and thin, straight bill. They look like they are dressed to go to a fancy party.

Not far from Lacassine refuge is another one that you can drive around as well. Named Cameron Prairie National Wildlife refuge.
