Autumn Isn’t over Yet

Autumn Isn’t over Yet

Autumn Isn’t over Yet, well in my backyard the majority of the leaves left on the tree fell in the light breeze we were having. You can hear lawn mowers running and leaf blowers around the neighborhood. The sun was just coming up and I looked out the door and a few leaves were brightly lit by the morning light on my deck. So I grabbed my camera.

Autumn Isn't over Yet

But my little dog wanted to come see what I was doing, meandering over to check out the camera.

Well then my other dog wanted to bring me a stick in front of the camera.

So I figured I might as well have her pose for a photo as the sun was getting higher in the sky.

    1. Thank you Linda, the funny thing is the very next day we got all the rain and wind, so now Autumn does appear to be over. All the pretty dry leaves are gone. That quickly.

      1. I was amazed at my neighbor’s tree – it was dropping leaves like crazy but at least half the tree still had leaves – one big windstorm and every leaf was on the ground. Just. Like. That.

          1. NOPE!!
Some areas of SoCal went sun-freezing overnight but Long Beach was not one. However, the local mountains got snow over the weekend and look beautiful!!

  1. This is lovely … autumn is my favourite time of year. I live in NY and can just see Central Park from my window. The leaves are all turning and itโ€™s gorgeous!

    1. Thank you, I have never been to New York, but I have seen many photos of your lovely park. That is so nice that you can see it from your window as well. ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Yes, itโ€™s a real treat … weโ€™re lucky to have good views and a walk in the park today showed how the leaves really have turned. It was beautiful in fact and warm enough to just wear a T-shirt and trousers …

  2. Awwww… love the pictures with the puppers. My fave is with Dog with the sun as his earring. Great shot! ๐Ÿ’•

    1. Thank you Jo, they always come over to investigate when the camera is on the ground, but when I pick it up they turn their heads away from the camera every time.

  3. Dear person, your work i always look forward to. Outstanding camera work, gifted. Be safe and well, greetings from Oz.

    1. Thank you so much, I appreciate hearing that and I am glad you enjoy the photos. Stay safe as well. Have a wonderful week. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thank you, it is not a maple tree, but I am not really sure what kind of tree it is. It is a huge tree with thousands of leaves, I know that. ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Haha! I tried googling and it looked nearest almost like Maple tree except it had more jaggered leaf edges. I can imagine the “thousands of leaves”

        1. The tree is actually one of those that drops the seeds that come down like propellers. Some people call them whirly bird seeds or helicopter seeds, I just asked my husband if he knew what it was and he thinks it is a silver maple, so you are right.
