William Bartram Trail
William Bartram Trail, another park we stopped at not far from Savannah GA, a wonderful place to walk and see all the cool trees and some historical areas though out the forest. Old homestead grounds. We like visiting places like this. I enjoy reading all about the history of places now, never cared for it much back in school.
The trees are a piece of art even when they are blown over laying on the ground like this one.

Lovely trees nicely taken
Thank you very much π
Interesting wood pieces and that Spanish Moss too. I was never a history buff either Sandra history bored me, but it is different when you see what happened and then you are seeing the place and sometimes the artifacts as well.
Yes, getting to go to all these historic places makes a big difference wanting to learn more about it. π
Yes, it’s not so fun to be book smart as being there in person!
Putting this place on my list of sites to visit!
Yes, a lot of history in this area Emilie. This is a beautiful spot to walk around, they have a nice map that explains the area as well while you walk.
I will have to check it out when I’m there
It is a wonderful nature area. π

Gorgeous pictures! I lived close to Savannah for five years, and I miss it so much!
It is so pretty there. This is our first time visiting the area.
I’m with you Sandra. I’ve always said that high schoolers should get to defer history until they’re at least 30! I wonder if those twisted fallen trees died due to a hurricane? They sure make interesting photos.
Yes, being able to get out and see the places of history is so much better then just in a book. π
I love the interesting tree trunks. You are so right in saying they are a work of art. Beautiful!
Thank you very much Mary. π
Dead trees are indeed works of art when you photograph them, Sandra.
Thank you so much Don, π, I appreciate that. Trees have always fascinated me. So many different kinds.
Savannah is a beautiful and unique city. I’ll make sure to visit that park one day. I also appreciate the beauty of trees, standing or fallen.
