Where is the Purple Finch

Where is the Purple Finch

Where is the Purple Finch, Happy Easter Weekend, in line with Easter Egg Hunting, try and spot the purple finch song bird in this first photo. Almost like looking for an egg. 🙂 The last photo will show you a close up of the little bird, it is camouflaged pretty good.

  1. I thought I spotted that bright-colored splash of color in the leaves and bark (and even a little leftover snow/ice) in the first picture.

    1. Thank you very much Mr.Ohh, the squirrels have been kind of quiet lately. I am guessing they are haveing tons of baby squirrels right now. 😊

  2. Now that is my kind of Easter egg hunt. My eldest daughter and I raced to see who could find the finch first. She won, which isn’t a surprise. She always first to spot a deer in the woods, a hawk in the tree, and a four leaf clover in an ocean of green. Happy Easter Sandra!

    1. Happy Easter Beth, your daughter sounds like me when I was her age and I still excited to see the animals of the forest. I sat out by the bird feeder yesterday and put some bird seed in my hand, the little finches were landing in my hand and on my shoulder. It was amazing to be that close to these wild birds. Have a wonderful weekend.

      1. Oh what a wonderful experience that must have been! My daughter enjoys your blog so much. I wish you could hear her words of exclamation about your photographs and her desire to be a photographer just like you someday. You have inspired her greatly. I count it a high compliment that she reminds you of yourself as a youth.

        1. She has a gift that will let her see creation in all its beauty. She will be a wonderful photographer who will keep sharing the beauty that surrounds us with those who need to see it. It is in her heart. Blessings to you and your family Beth.

  3. Yes indeed the little guy is beautiful but then so are the Grackles even though they can be so aggressive in their flocks. Thanks for your continued posts.

    1. Yes, it is like walking into a bird store sometimes. They all get to singing. Happy Easter to you as well Mary.

  4. When I clicked on the first picture to expand it, I spotted him. His crest looks more scarlet than purple to me in the picture, but photos sometimes change the hue of a color.

    1. 🙂 yes it is more scarlet I think also. The sun really brings it out. They are very colorful and lots of them this year.

  5. I’m glad I could spot the bird😅

Please what’s the name of the bird in the third picture? Do you have an idea?

I saw the same bird some weeks ago. I attempted to snap it but away it flew😂😂😂

      1. Their eyes stood out for me. Also, they made sounds I never heard in our neighbourhood.

  6. Ce que je peux apprécier vos photos ! J’ai l’impression d’être tapie dans la nature à vos côtés, :-); merci beaucoup, très bon week-end

  7. great pics, Sandra….I loved the one with the crows (ravens ? ) who appear to be told off by the coach at half time….

    1. I love your interpretation of the group of birds. Those are called the Common Grackle, there eyes make them look like they have an attitude. 😊
