Celebrating Iowa Rivers Today
Celebrating Iowa Rivers Today on World Rivers Day, Sunday the 27th. A friend of mine told me that today is the celebration of rivers across the world. You can check her post Here; WALKIN’, WRITIN’, WIT & WHIMSY. And I knew I had a few river photos starting with this little one right outside of my house here in the middle of Autumn.
I know you don’t want to hear it, but soon it will look like this photo below. 😏😉
But, lets get back to Autumn here on the Cedar River in Iowa
The Mighty Mississippi River – Photo was taken last month.
And a way to cross the Mississippi River here on the I74 Bridge which will be torn down soon. A new bridge is being built right next to it as I write this. I never did like this bridge, it is very narrow and people drive way to fast on it. But it is pretty at night.
And last, I have been hanging out down by the Mississippi River for the last few days, well, I go home at night. But the Egrets are still here, the water is low and the fishing is good for them. I pull up a chair on the bank of the river and sit there patiently watching and photographing these beautiful birds. I am still amazed that there are so many here.
I have hundreds of photos of the Egrets, so it might take me awhile to get to all of them.
