Sunsets Are Coming Back

Sunsets Are Coming Back

Sunsets Are Coming Back, the smoke has been clearing in the sky around my area so the sunset are becoming colorful again. I love a sunset when there are some clouds along with. Gives it a little more texture and depth.

I mentioned awhile ago about my brother out in Montana next to the fire called, Yaak Fire. He said it is down to a smolder, but still burning and creeping across the land. So they have not been given the all clear yet, I hope they get more rain and it goes out completely.

Sunsets Are Coming Back

On this particular night, I walked down to the pond, knowing there would be a reflection in the water of the clouds all lit up as the sun dropped below the horizon.

    1. I will tell him Mr. Ohh, yes the smoke has gone over to NY also they say and now MN is on fire up by the boundry waters and we are getting the smoke from that one now.

  1. I wish I could send today’s forecast of heavy rains (minus the predicted high winds) to your brother to douse those fires completely. What a horrible last few years this has been for wildfires. I suspect our climate will never be the same as what we grew up with, no matter what steps humans take now to correct the many issues. It’s very sad. The photos are beautiful, so peaceful at the pond. Love the hummingbirds stopping by for a bedtime snack. Makes me smile.

    1. Thank you Linda, yes, my sister said they just got another 8 inches of rain in Iowa, they have been getting drenched as well.

      1. Amazing weather – and we thought today’s quick four inches that flooded parts of Dearborn and parts of the Southfield Expressway was bad. Mother Nature has a bee in her bonnet for sure. I hope your sister’s home is okay. I’ve been watching those floods earlier this week and people getting rescued from rooftops.

  2. Beautiful sunset photos! Colorful skies is one weird upside to so much smoke. Here’s to hoping the fires are extinguished soon.

  3. These are really catastrophic events, those forest fires! Your brother could really use the rain, which we have been dealing with here in Belgium all summer.

      1. That’s so sad. I don’t know if it’s my imagination or not, but it seems there are more fires, floods and earthquakes than before. Your pictures are beautiful. Fortunately, nature is good at healing itself, but it’ll need lots of time.
