New Flower to The Garden

New Flower to The Garden

New Flower to The Garden, my neighbor gave me some lily plants from her garden this spring. I put them over by the woods. Well, the deer ate them a couple times as they were starting to grow and they we had a week of late frost when they were just starting to pop up again. So they have not looked very good the last two months. But today I looked out that way and I could see one orange flower as bright as could be.

Amazing how nature finds a way to survive all on its own.

  1. They are beautiful Tiger Lilies. I just took some photos yesterday at the Volunteer Garden at Memorial Park to use for Wordless Wednesday some time.

  2. These look like the day lilies that are all over my yard and the deer totally ignore them. Hmm—maybe yours are extra special.

    1. My neighbor gave me some of hers this spring, she said the deer will eat them right away, which they did, but they are very hardy and have come back from that.

  3. In our old home – we had yellow ones that came back year after year – I think I like the orange better! Nice pictures!

    1. Thank you, yes orange ones are all over up here, in the ditches and all. 🙂 they come back every year also.

  4. It’s good that they are growing finally. They look so beautiful! ❤ It must be so good to live among deers and nature! ✨

    1. Thank you, it is so nice seeing all the wild life. I really appreciate being able to see all the deer. 🙂

  5. I love Tiger Lilies. So pretty. I am amazed that the deer did not get poisoned by it as I thought Tiger Lilies were poisonous. I am glad though that the deer is not ill post eating this.

        1. That is expensive, yes my neighbor has a patch of these in her yard and the keep spreading out. So she dug up a few this spring for me and I planted them. I wasn’t sure they were going to make it with the deer and the late frost we had here.
