Nevada Northern Railway
Nevada Northern Railway, one of my favorite things next to photographing nature and birds, is photographing trains. Especially steam locomotives. This is my first one I have taken a photo of and the beautiful depot that they have maintained for folks to visit here in Ely NV.
Even their railroad crossing signs are unique.

That fascinating how close the train tracks are to the buildings – wow! You’d sure hear that train rumbling through.
Yes, the old depot are made like that. I can picture back in the day, all the folks that would come and go here. 😊

This is other worldly landscape dear Sandra. Truly something i couldn’t have imagined to be running in today’s time. Beautiful Platform, everything there is. Thank you for sharing this. I do not remember if i had seen this landscape or likewise in a film few years ago.

I had to look Ely NV up – we’ve been to Ely, MN several times to see the wolves ,but never been to this Ely before. Straight east you’ll hit Tahoe and nearly straight south you end up in our favorite getaway – Vegas.
Yes, I have been to Ely MN also. Used to live up there. I have to say, I really like Nevada, so pretty with the snow cap mountains.

It is a wonderful area, lots of hotels and the locomotive is a wonderful sight to see working..
