Eye Colors – Avian eye colors range from dark brown and yellow through red, blue, and green to metallic silver and gold.
So far I have photographed birds with Red, Blue, Grayish, and Yellow Gold.

“The eyes are the mirror of the soul” as the expression goes. The first bird with the elongated beak … that elongated beak and the coloring reminds me of the ghost mask you see at Halloween, with the long mouth.
It does look like that 😉
Only up close and that angle – I am sure “in person” it is nothing like that. 🙂

Wow. So many things we never notice or appreciate. I never knew there was such variety in eye color. That first picture with the bright reds is especially astounding. Don’t know how you did that. The Lord is one magnificent Creator. Thank you, Sandra.
