End of the Year Wildflowers

End of the Year Wildflowers

End of the Year Wildflowers, I took these photos just a couple weeks ago before we had our first frost here. Even though it is back to 70 degrees again. Everything is preparing for its long winters nap.

End of the Year Wildflowers

But, there are always just a few flowers that keep blooming right up to that first frost. Lavenders and Yellows

Wisdom is only attainable by age, there are no shortcuts, Inheriting the wealth of Knowledge, from the quality of Experience becomes Wisdom. Owning nothing but yet owning everything.

Have a Wonderful Weekend

  1. The wildflowers were still so bright and beautiful then – too bad for that cold snap and a little snow or they’d still be around. That’s a great color combo of those wildflowers. I really like the bird’s feather with raindrops on it too.

      1. It was very pretty with the rain drops sparkling away on it. I like seeing the water drops on leaves before they turn dry and crumple up. They look more vibrant than usual.

    1. Yes, only a few are left now. It is 75 degrees.today but it is going to get cold soon. That will be the end of them.🙂

    1. That is it exactly Mr. Ohh, those who have everything end up not having enough. They need more and more and never find what they are looking for. True happiness is in your heart not your hands. To me. 🙂

  2. Lovely shots Sandra, a last flower fling before Winter sets in. Everything in life is learnt whether by observation or experience. The application of that knowledge gives wisdom and later when wisdom is tested brings understanding. Solomon was right, as you are: “The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.” – Prov 4:7 He goes on to say it is more of value than gold and silver and bring with its application life and prosperity. This is what my current book is bringing to children using our birds to teach them.

    1. That is so right, gold is worth more in your heart than in your hand. And what a great thing you are doing with a children’s book, birds and nature itself can teach us so much. Even as adults, but especially for children. I am always fascinated with watching how birds interact with each other, how there instinct guides them in life. Thank you for your thoughts today. 🙂

  3. Thank you Sandra. Wisdom indeed comes with age but not necessarily old age. And necessary experience has a cost, sometimes a high cost, but is worth it. Finding the right path is also worth it, of course. By your beautiful art you continue to give us signs of His presence and master work. This leads to a calming security which lifts our spirits. A reminder that the Lord is in charge. Blessings to you.

  4. Wonderful pictures and I love the quote. i was walking around the neighborhood where we have had one spotty frost. I saw one front yard where the vinca and fall azaelea are still in bloom. It looked like August while across the street the trees were still wearing their autumn hues and a few trees are no leaves left. The season seemed as confused as the political situation. 🙂

    1. Yes, I have seen the same thing, flowers that still looked ok after our first frost. That last bit of color before everything turns brown. I had to quit watching the political stuff, it is a mess. 🙂

  5. Between your gorgeous pictures, and what you stated regarding Wisdom, LOVED this post, Sandra. We who have attained Wisdom hopefully share that Wisdom with others. Yet …. this is the irony. If someone is not ready to embrace our Wisdom, we have to accept they must still journey further to do so. Much love to you this day!! xo
