Belted King Fisher
Belted King Fisher – it is a rare moment when you can catch this bird sitting still and not to far away. Which is how I got this shot. Pulled up to a little park and he was sitting on this post. I slowly opened the door trying to be so quiet, it does not take much movement to scare these birds off.
I had my camera in hand, took a couple of quick shots and he was gone like that. 🙂

This photo is a masterclass in patience and timing. It reminds me that whether we are capturing a fleeting moment in nature or designing a seamless digital experience, understanding the underlying system-like the mechanics behind a jiliph game-is key to capturing the perfect ‘win’ or shot. Truly captivating work!
Thank you very much 🙂
Keno’s randomness is fascinating – applying probability really helps! Seeing platforms like 588jl app offer diverse games & a smooth experience (like their easy registration) is a big plus for players exploring options. Fun stuff!
This is a perfect portrait of this bird Sandra – the wooden post was perfect to show off its colors and I like its crested head too!
They really have that regal feel to them and enjoy hearing their distinct rattle when we are by waterways
Nice shot!
Love the crested “hairdo” —you landed an excellent capture of this great bird.
Handsome male Belted Kingfisher!
And you got a great picture. 🤣😎🙃
Beautiful image!
You sure got a great shot!
So hard to do with this bird. They dont stick around very long.
Yes, many birds are like that!
How long did you wait and how many photos did you take before you succeeded?🙂
There wasn’t any waiting on this one. We pulled up to this small dock in our jeep and there it was sitting on this poll in the water. I already had my camera in my hand. I opened the door very gently. It does not take much to scare them off. Stepped up on my right foot and raised the camera, without even getting out of the jeep completely and took 6 consecutive shots and it was gone. Pure luck to get it 🙂
Oh that’s a lovely Kingfisher. Please scrap my other comment. I just wasn’t thinking straight. We don’t have that kingfisher in the UK so it is first time knowing of this one.
That is ok Liz, it has a thick beak like a woodpecker. 😀
🙂
Oh. That’s a lovely woodpecker.
Kingfishers are fast and focussed.
