  1. Beautiful golds and especially against that snow. Snow is pretty when it lands on the colored leaves, yellow, orange or red … then it begins to quickly wear out its welcome, but it is gorgeous nevertheless. You have captured that beauty perfectly here Sandra.

    1. Thank you Mr.Ohh, the bird is in the Warbler family. I know what you mean, we had a little snow and it turned to rain so now everything is a muddy mess. 🙂

        1. Yes, they are, I took this photo earlier this year and just came across it. I have so many photos on my computer I miss some sometimes. 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving Mr. Ohh 🙂

    1. It is in the Warbler family. It came to my feeder early in the year. I had never seen one before. I love getting to see a new bird.

  2. Sandra, I often show your blog to my 12 year old, who is a budding photographer, for ideas and inspiration. She loves the outdoors especially birds, flowers, and insects. She always carries her little Sony Sure shot in her hiking pack. I wanted to pass on to you her comment as she looked at your pictures, “I want to be a photographer like her when I grow up.”

    1. Beth, that is so sweet, I am truly honored to hear that. Tell her I said thank you and that I know she will be so good at it because she has a love for creation. I started with birds and flowers and I may be able to learn a thing or two from her on photographing insects. They are also the wonderous little creatures of the world. Have a blessed Thanksgiving for you and your family. Thank you for sharing that.

  3. So beautiful Sandra! I love the cheerfulness of the vibrant yellow among the white snow and sparkle of of rain drops. So sensitive and energizing at the same time.

  4. Your photos are poetic enough! Words are not the only form of poetry. There are several artistic film directors that understand this 🙂 I love the bright yellow making these pictures glow…beautiful!

  5. They are beautiful, Sandra. The bird was a nice surprise among dead leaves covered in snow. 🙂 Thank you! ❤️
