Young Eagle Stopped By today, I have not seen many eagles this year. Only on occasion when they fly by and sometimes stop and hang out in a tree for a little bit. This one here just glided right in, he was so far away, I wasn’t sure what it was at first.

So I got the big camera lens out and that is when I realized it is a young Eagle. I never get tired of seeing them.

  22. Eagles are such majestic birds, wonderful images. Years ago I was in a nature park most of the day photographing when I saw something on a dead tree near the beach, I managed to get a bit closer and saw that it was a juvenile bald eagle, I was thrilled my first eagle in the wild. When I walked home it was dusk, I came to an area where there was an area full of wild bushes with a street lamp above, when I looked up there were three adult eagles sitting there, I was amazed that they would be sitting along a fairly busy road on a street lamp.

    1. Thank you Jo, I have not seen as many since I moved away from the river. So it was a nice surprise to see a couple here.

  30. We have so many bald eagles here but I never tire of seeing them. They’re so big and cool. It’s always entertaining to watch the crows or seagulls or even little tiny birds harass and chase the big eagles off.

    1. Yes, I use to live by the Mississippi river and there are lots of them all along the river. So to see a couple here by the forest was such a treat. They are such a beautiful bird.

    1. Thank you Rudi, yes they don’t fly to close for sure. They are probably my favorite bird so it is always a such fun if I happen to have my camera when I see them.
