World of Maritime Enthusiasts
World of Maritime Enthusiasts – There’s something magical about watching a ship glide gracefully across the water, leaving a trail of gentle waves in its wake. For some people, this fascination goes beyond casual admiration and becomes a passionate hobby: shipspotting.
I don’t actually record ships like those hobbyist that are into shipspotting. I just like watching them and photographing them. Below are 3 different rivers with different tugboats.
Have a great weekend.

That second photo with the reflection – wow! If you ever decide to start photographing some of the Great Lakes freighters, you will have to go the website boatnerddotcom.
Thank you for the website. I hope to get up to that area where they are sometime. 🙂
It’s a fun website Sandra. You used to be able to track any Great Lakes freighter’s location. I would hop onto that site if I saw a freighter down at the Detroit River and took photos of it, but could not see the name of the ship clearly and wanted to use that ship in a blog post.

Thank you very much ☺️
Lovely photos! I love rivers and for sure the Mississippi River! I remember fishing near a lock and dam one January, catching lots of fish and listening to a Hawkeye game on the radio!
Thank you Marland, I love visiting the locks on the Mississippi, lots of eagles around them as well. Have a wonderful weekend.
You’re welcome, and a wonderful Sunday wish for you!
love that reflected arch!
