Wildlife’s Picnic Table
Wildlife’s Picnic Table, This blue jay is stretching way up there to see what is on the table. Checking to see if maybe there is a better morsel of food than the one he already has.

Is the black bird a crow? I love the face it is making. It looks like the Blue Jay stole food it was waiting to take.
Those are called boat tailed grackles. Their tails feathers are like a Rutter on a boat. π
That is so cool! Thank you for telling me! I learned something new. π
In general not a fan of Blue Jays.. they have some nasty behaviors, but that last picture is hilarious – those Grackles always look like they are upset at someone or something ha.
I know what you mean, my husband says they are the only bird that sounds like it is yelling all the time.
I enjoyed seeing these birds the picnic table feeder Sandra – blue jays are so beautiful and expressive and how cute seeing them on the mini picnic table!
Thank you Linda, I am sure having fun watching them use the table as well π
They are cute – I’ve seen them on Birds & Blooms I believe.

The “what the heck” look on the black bird’s face!
I know π, they have so many different looks with those bright yellow eyes.
The “what the heck” look on that black bird’s face!
Not shy about asking for more either
Not the blue Jay’s, they try and grab as much as possible.
That last one the grackle photobombed the bluejay, lol.
Yes, between those two birds it is hard to get a photo of just one. π
Great series of the Blue Jayβs antics, Sandra, and that last image is a real winner!
Thank you Ellen, these two birds are the only ones at my feeder. Those Jay’s are so funny looking when they stretch up, long skinny legs.
nice shots!
Thank you very much Jim π
