We have a few scenic areas in this state, but not enough to keep me from leaving it for months at a time ha!
Yes, normally we just pass on through, but we had to stop because of all the bad weather. So we had time to look around. 🙂

There are a few in the state parks in Central Illinois also. The river bluffs can be dramatic.
I have always just passed through I’ll. There is a lot to see here. We went on the most scenic bike trail last week near Vienna.
