What Beautiful Animal is This

What Beautiful Animal is This, we went to a new park yesterday, it was a gorgeous sunny day. We were walking along the back side of the park and came around a corner to see this beautiful, colorful animal enjoying the sunshine with the rest of us. I have never seen one of these with little spots everywhere.

Now this animal is usually pretty plain colored, but this one just made me smile. I did not have my camera at first, so I talk to this animal and said, ” Don’t go anywhere, I am going to go get my camera, I’ll be right back. ” And it did not move until I got back. I love the fuzzy ears like a bear.

And these large wonderful soft eyes. This is the most colorful one of these I have ever seen. Now most people may not think much of this animal, but me. Well I love all animals and I used to raise these along with horses.

Yep, it is a cow. I have never seen a cow with black spots and fuzzy ears. So cute to me. She was enjoying the sunshine on this beautiful Autumn day. I took plenty of photos to remember this gorgeous animal.

I am used to seeing plain cows like the one below. I like the poke a dots more. 🙂

  1. I love God’s creation. I love even the look of cows. I was the one who wanted to go see the cows at the fair, when others wanted to do more “exciting” things at the fair.
The cows were so beautiful with their big, dark eyes, long lashes and were well-groomed.

    1. Thank you very much 🙂 that is a very interesting picture, it took me a few seconds and then I could see it. I found the nose first. 🙂

  2. Wow, I’ve never seen a cow look like that – I really was wondering what type of critter it was, until I saw the curly big ears. 🙂 Then I was pretty sure and you told us. I like that cow – how unique!

  3. Born and raised a dairy farmer, my love for cows still runs deep! We had one polka dot cow. She was a red and white Holstein. Her spots were much larger and nothing like the one you have photographed here. I appreciate your perspective and the way you captured a love a mine!

    1. I am so glad you liked the photo, I do love cows and pretty much all animals. We had just the plane black cows, occasionally they might have had a white spot here and there. But this cow, she is something special. I enjoyed watching her basking in the sunshine on this fine afternoon. 🙂

    1. It was so nice out, with the sun shining. She had laid down and could hardly keep her eyes open. Nap time. 🙂

        1. Me to, I use to raise horses, I never had an appaloosa, but they are beautiful horses. This color sure made for an interesting looking cow. 🙂

  4. I have to admit that I did not get it for sure until you showed the nose. It is a very interesting cow. Like you, I grew up with black angus everywhere, on my uncle’s farms and great-uncles’ farms and other neighbors. One neighbor had milk cows, and I cannot remember what type, Guernsey or Jersey I think. But then someone decided cross-breeding angus with brahma for better hardiness is harsh weather, mostly hot/dry weather, but I do not know if I have seen one like this in your photos.

    1. Me to Mark, usually solid color cows with an occasional spot here or there, but never spectacled. She is so unique, my dog has marks like she does also. 🙂 There was that solid black cow in the last photo and a solid white cow next to here and she looked liked the mix of the two. But I don’t know if the black cow was a bull, they were all laying down. 🙂

      1. That mottled look reminded me of an old blue tic hound, hundreds of tiny spots. I agree. I have seen large spots, but nothing like that.

  5. Love cows too. This is definitely a cute one and I agree she’s pretty unique. I’ve seen multi-colored ones with big patches of colors but not one spotted like this one. Love the photos 🙂

    1. Thank you Maria, same here, it sure was fun to just stand there and watch her for a little while. She was just resting in the sunshine. 🙂

  6. I write this in jest because it’s not biologically feasible, I wonder if one her ancestors was cross bred with an appaloosa. What a beautiful bovine.

  7. 😀 I was worried about your safety, cause you know, a spotted animal isn’t usually good news. Whew!
