What a Colorful Day

What a Colorful Day

What a Colorful Day to end the week with. I was driving along and saw one of those signs that says Historic Marker here. I love stopping at those. It was a small park and a lovely walk to the lake area. But this garage, boat house type building is what I noticed when I reached the water. The red tree buds almost matching the roof on the garage and the bird house.

What a Colorful Day

Along with, my first sighting of a wood duck. Mr. and Mrs. Wood Duck. So very colorful. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

What a Colorful Day

It did decide to snow just a bit today. Just enough to make everything look pretty for a few hours.

  1. The reflections are gorgeous and the boat house and wood ducks are almost the same colors … the snow is such a light touch to the scenery, as if Mother Nature sprinkled a little powdered sugar from her sifter on the landscape.

    1. This is my first sighting of one. I had to take the photo through the window. They take off the minute anyone moves. 😊

  2. Your picture looks exactly where we were today. We took a little look up north of us, almost to Canada. We visited a bog, with lots of history from the Indians who lived around the areas before the government sent Indians from somewhere else to north Mn. It was so relaxing just sitting on a bench listening to the duck, watching the grasses sway in the wind, smelling the wet green grass pushing through the brown dead grass of winter. Spring is here for sure, not many flowers yet but soon. We had snow twice this week so spring comes sneaking in underneath the ending of winter. We did not have full sun today but enough that I knew I needed to get out more in what ever sun offer to appear. I am so ready for flowers and warm winds, cool nights, no snow, no more winter. We were at a bog today, one they tried years ago to drain but it never did so no one lives in it, too wet. The birds, musrats, beavers , ducks and other critters are all over the place. It’s not one of my favorite place I have visited in northern Mn. but I found peace there today. I feel filled with hope because I could feels, see, taste spring and a hit of summer on its way. Blessings.

    1. I can just picture your place by your words. It sounds like a wonderful place for the animals. Yes, there are no spring flowers here yet either. But it won’t be long, the warm summer nights is what I enjoy the most. Have a wonderful weekend. 😊

    1. Hello, thank you very much. That is quite the title to your blog. 😊 I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well.

  3. Snow would have depressed me… especially in this time of the year, but I must admit it looks pretty.
