We Made it Home, what a journey it has been for us and so many others this past year. I still have plenty of photos to share of all the beautiful states we travelled in.

The thing I remember the most from the past 10 months is all the wonderful people we met along the way. Folks who would just stop by and say hello, who would share their travels and give advice on places to see. For the most part, I remember all the smiles from others, even though so much is going on in the world around us, it never stopped folks from just living.

It’s always great to come home and you will have lots of time to reflect on what you saw those ten months, whether in your mind or scrolling through your blog or looking at your photo files on your computer. It is a long trip that most people will never undertake and can only dream about and you were lucky enough to do it.

  7. A bit bittersweet for sure – there is an inherent calming about being at home, but I am sure you miss the adventure – appreciate you sharing all your finds and definitely looking forward to seeing what is still in the tin.

    1. Thank you, yes it is so good to get home but we are definitely looking forward to taking off next winter as well. My husband built a porch for me on our cabin, something I have always wanted. I do enjoy sitting there as well enjoying the view and watching the wildlife. 😊

  14. Congratulations on a great trip! Glad y’all made it home safely. I’m sure you had some close calls and minor or almost emergencies along the way but overall a wonderful time. You have so many new memories now, Sandra, seeing so much of the country firsthand. I’m sure it must feel great to get back home again. Now begins the settling in process. Blessings

    1. Thank you very much RJ, yes it is so nice coming back to familiar places. Seeing all the different landscapes and wildlife was more than I could have ever imagined. Now going through all the photos that I have not even gotten to is part of the fun as well. Remembering where we have been and now where we will be going next as well. My husband’s son is coming home in November after being in the service in Italy for the past 4 years. It had been a long time. So we will be going south to see him at the end of the year. Thank you again and have a wonderful evening.

    1. It is such a treat to park the RV and enjoy my garden again, I do have a lot of weeds in it, but that is ok. The wild flowers are in full bloom.

  22. Fabulous journey! We traveled for the past three years criss-crossing the U.S. in our motorhome, it felt so good to finally get home last fall but oh wow the sights and sounds we experienced on the road! I know you have great memories and file folders full of gorgeous photos!

    1. How wonderful for you as well. It is good to be back, I am not sure if I could do 3 years of traveling at one time. I do like summers at home. But there is so much to see isn’t there. We look forward to heading out in the winter again. Yes, so many photos. 😊
