Water and Light
Water and Light – I found this Blue Heron doing some fishing the other morning. I found the light reflecting off of the water onto the bird was quite cool looking. Almost like strobe lights dancing across its feathers.

Thank you very much ☺️
A very unique perspective!
Thank you very much 🙂
Very pretty Sandra and yes it does look like strobe lights dancing on its feathers. It’s interesting that it is called “Great Blue Heron” as most of the time it looks gray.
Yes, but when the sun shines on them, their blue crest is sure pretty.
I hope I see that one day Sandra … whenever I see them, they often have their head down studying the water for fish.
Absolutely wonderful !
Thank you, Sandra. 💙💙🧡🙏

Thank you very much 😉
Herons have such staring eyes, which you have captured well Sandra. THe light reflection gives a very interesting image.
Thank you, yes and they have so much patience to stand there waiting to strike.
Nice shots. Did he get a fish and eat it too? I’ve seen our GBH murder two large catfish on two different occasions and leave them for the coyotes.
I did not see the fish, so it must have been small. I have seen them eat an entire cat fish.
