Using You Imagination In Photography
Photography is about using your imagination, it’s about creating ideas that speak to people and create interest from a viewer’s standpoint.
What do these photos say to you, what do you see?
Photography has helped me to see things differently, it has opened my imagination to another level. When I see movement, light and colors as I am out looking at the world around me. I think about how to capture these moments within a photo. What angle to shoot at, how to stop motion, how to create art out of what I see and bring my imagination to life.
For example these photos, I was sitting outside enjoying a beautiful warm day looking at my bird bath that has a water fountain in it. The water looked as if it is dancing, almost like it has come to life in movement.
So I took a few photos and video to help your imagination see something completely different then what you might expect to see today. Video below or click on this link; Dancing Waters.

I’m booking photography lessons from you🥺🥺. This is so calming 🥰🥰
It looks like ice sculptures – what a great idea to photograph this Sandra.
It does look like ice, I was just sitting there watching the water moving and I thought to try and photography it. So many interesting shapes.
More so if it was windy.
We see what is around us and we want to capture it with the camera to catch in the photograph the experienced sensations.
Yes, it is so much fun to photograph things out of the ordinary.
Hi
Beautiful
What a clever series of photos Sandra, and thanks for the invitation to look more closely at the apparently mundane. I thought at first you had photographed glass sculptures
Thank you Denzil, they do look like glass sculptures. I find it so interesting to hear what others see with these kind of photos. Shows how wonderful our imagination is.
Unleash the creativity! I have similar experiences with fire (flaming pumplins to be specific). Always like taking photos of the flames and enjoy trying to see what my mind will produce. Your last shot reminds me of a pelican trying to down a fish.
Appears to be a client-side error – cleared all my cache/cookies and it appears to have fixed the issue!
Yes I did that to.
I love hearing what others see in photos like this. Everyone is different, like cloud watching. 😊
These photos are STUNNING. The water looks like a carved jewel.
Thank you, I like that, carved jewels. 😊
The stills are very cool, but the video is fascinating – loved the music too!
Thank you, I love being around water it can be so mesmerizing.
Now this is cool. Cool pictures and video. It opens up one’s vision of reality. The human body is composed primarily of water (H2O): 65% Oxygen and almost 10% Hydrogen.
Thanks Sandra. You did it again. Imagine that video in slow motion. Are we supposed to dance like that?
Blessings
Thank you RJ, yes it looks as if a spirit is alive in the water, I find it beautiful.
The water is alive and soothing. The photos are very pretty and the video even more so. 👏
Thank you very much 😊
