Tybee Island Lighthouse
Tybee Island Lighthouse – I have photographed this light house before. There are just so many different ways to photograph it. It is in such a pretty location with lots of beach grass and sand piles.
I like this angle with the old building in front of it.
Now this is a different kind of shot. We were walking back to the parking lot and noticed two Grackles perched on this truck right in front of the light house. Well, they are such a colorful bird in the sunlight, it made for a fun photo.
Then I had to replace the truck with a branch, that was a lot of red. They were sitting all over this persons truck. 🙂

I know that lighthouse well – you got some unique shots!
It is always fun to go.down there. We did portrait shots there of our son and his girlfriend this year.
I didn’t realize the lighthouse was that tall until I saw it from above. The grackle shots are funny – the one with the beaks open like it is talking. Amazing you can swap out a truck for a branch like magic!
Yes, I have seen shorter lighthouses, just depends on how close it is to the shoreline I think.
There is a big one in North Carolina. I remember a high school friend of mine going there and posting pics of it on FB once. I just Googled it – in case you ever pass that way, it is the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. It is 198 feet tall, the tallest lighthouse in the United States and the second tallest brick light tower in the world.
💚
The first one is brilliant, Sandra. And I am amazed on how you changed a truck into a branch.
Thank you very much Don, I love visiting this spot. I bet a sunrise or sunset photo would be nice at that location. But it is a long drive to the island. Can’t get up early enough. Technology really makes editing photos so much more fun. Ones imagination can come to life.
These are great pictures. We were just talking about Tybee Island at Thanksgiving because my son had recently visited there. We love lighthouses and that one looks like such a classic.
It is a beautiful one for sure. There are so many different angles to get interesting photos. Being it is so close to the beach as well. Thank you ☺️
Nice shots Sandra
Thank you Milena
