Yes, they do grow up rapidly! I love these photos showing the deer and her spotted fawns. I wonder at what stage they lose their spots? I bet a few people with freckles wish their spots would disappear as they aged, too. Instead, as I age, I seem to get freckles that were never there when I was younger! Oh, and on another subject, isn’t it fun how these deer raise their tails to show the white underside when they run? Are they called “White-tail deer”?
Yes, they are white tailed deer. Their tails seem so fluffy when they are young. It seems they have spots almost to a year old.
That fawn is so beautiful in the still shots and video – I love how it runs and jumps and stops and looks at you so intensely.
Yes, like it is trying out its new legs, so cute π
Like a colt does … very frisky and happy to be free and run like the wind.
Most enjoyable video, Sandra. What a great place. Thank you

Just at the gangly teenager phase.
Yes, and they run around like teenagers, goofy looking sometimes.

free in their place, happy as can be!
Yes, where I live they can’t hunt the females either so I know they are safe from that, all the ones that visit my yard.
Beautiful

Thank you very much Liz π
You’re welcome. π
How lucky to live on the edge of the forest, many animals visit you. These are beautiful and the little fawn that frolics is fun. β€
Yes, one never knows what will wonder out of the forest. I mow trails through the long grass that the animals always walk on as well. π
