The Red Winged Black Bird

The Red Winged Black Bird, one of my favorite birds especially in the spring. Their call song always brings back spring memories for me. After not hearing it all winter, it is a true gift to hear it now.

I started hearing them about a month ago and this guy was perched on a post right in front of me. Which gave me this shot as it took off.
