The Rain Has Arrived

The Rain Has Arrived

The Rain Has Arrived, we finally got some rain to give all the trees and flowers a bit of a drink of water that was very much needed. I love photographing clouds, everyday is different, everyday I find it relaxing to just sit on the porch and watch the clouds roll on by, changing with the wind. If we could ride on a cloud, it would be like a dream, how far could we go. How much could we see.

The Rain Has Arrived

Watching the clouds reminds me of the song by Cat Stevens, Father and Son,

Take your time, think a lot, think of everything you’ve got. For you will still be here tomorrow but your dreams may not.

  1. Lovely photos!
We desperately need rain here. A few nearby places got a bit yesterday, and a friend about 100 miles away got a short downpour. I got one clap,of thunder and about eight drops.
There are 23-23 big fires raging in our state, and every day several more break out. If they’re caught right away, they’re quickly put out. But the ones that rage are quite large.
And everything is bone dry. Where I live, we should get 18 to 19 inches of rain a year. Last year I got just over six.

    1. It was like that here for the first half of this month, so dry and all of a sudden we got 3 inches and more today. Hope you get some relief soon out your way.

  2. Incredible photography! You’re doing a great job capturing the best of nature and bringing it closer to us… 😊

  3. Amazing pictures of clouds!
And you are right, it is relaxing to watch them!
I am always looking for images in the sky! And the more you look, the more your imagination kicks in and you really see „things“!
    Kindest regards,

  4. Beautiful photos to capture the feelings you described with your words. This experience, to which I’d add looking out at a vast body of water, and staring into a crackling fire, are some of the blessings that point us to peace and eternity. There are so many moments that you share.

    1. Thank you very much Mary, these little moments in life as you mentioned are truly that, peace, finding ways to slow down and enjoy the moments in life. 😊

  5. Very nice pictures of the sky – I always try to get the sky in any picture I take! Thank you!
