Another fun bird to photograph, especially when they are flying. They can hover for a long time as they look around in the water for a fish to snag.
This shot below show the orange hue color of their eyes. Which I have never noticed before.

They are beautiful birds in flight and you captured them so well here Sandra. I’ve seen more Osprey this year than any other time, but never noticed the orange-hued eye … I will make an effort to notice next year, now that I know where that nest is and all the activity there. What strikes me about Osprey is the plumage coloration under their wingspan … the pattern is so unique.
