  1. I think this is the closest I’ve ever seen you get to a Ruby-Throated Hummingbird – wow Sandra. And in flight as well resting. 🙂

    1. Yes, I pulled up a chair close to the feeder and just sit really still. They fly all around me. So fun to do this.

      1. You were so close up – I like how they sat on the perch as well. I’ve never seen a hummingbird perch before. On my route to/from the Park a person has planted Cannas. We had them years ago when we lived in Canada. They were in a planter’s box and we could see the hummingbirds from the living room window. So I look every time I walk by – not seen any hummingbirds yet.

  2. Thanks Sandra. You see things we never see. I am learning that what you do with shots like these is something few can do. Those little guys must be the most difficult subjects to capture intact with no blurring. Such amazing colors and detail. What a wonderful Creator. Blessings

    1. Thank you very much RJ, yes it takes a lot of patience and I usually just pull up a chair and wait for them to come around. Fascinating little birds when you think of how many miles they fly during migration with such tiny little hearts and bodies. Truly a work from our creator. There is no other explanation.

  3. most splendid
