The Little Red Squirrel

The Little Red Squirrel

The Little Red Squirrel, they have been gone for a couple of weeks when the weather was nice. But, we have had some snow the last couple of days, so they are back again. Looking for a little pick me up snack I think. I love the red stripe they have, very showy when the sun is out.

He appears to not be happy that he has a little snow on the roof of his house. Yes, I have seen him go into this bird feeder many times.

The Little Red Squirrel

Looks like a little bracelet on its hand and if Mr. Ohh is seeing this, I will have to say; ” No, it is not little hand cuffs.” 🙂 I am guessing that is what he might see.

  1. What a cutie pie he is … you captured his spirit Sandra, that look of “where are my treats” as he perches on the bird house. The nerve! I wonder what that mark is as it sure does look like a bracelet?

      1. Oh, I should have should of that Sandra – there are sunflower seed shells everywhere under the tree and at the log. It would be great if they missed a few whole ones at the log area as there is lots of mud and they just might grow into flowers, though the geese would likely eat the plant.

  2. Good pictures but I am dissapointed you didn’t cuff him and take him to squirrel prison where he belongs The little hoodlem

    1. lol, I believe he escaped the handcuffs and only had part of one left on him, he is way smarter than we are I am thinking. 🙂

    1. Yes, these here are not to afraid of anything and always find a way to get to the feeders no matter where I put them.

  3. I miss red squirrels! They were all over the Adirondacks, but are pretty scarce in Tennessee. They have such an interesting and diverse vocabulary!

    1. Yes, they chatter sometimes when my dog is near them. I guess that is what I would call it. When they are sending out a warning and they are not very afraid of me, especially when I bring some food out. Thank you Darren.
