The Ice is Breaking Up

The Ice is Breaking Up

The Ice is Breaking Up at the lake. The lake looks so blue when the skies are clear. I went to this wonderful little park to see how the ice is doing and it is nice to see clear water again. It was kind of cold on this day so I did not get around the whole park.

It is good to see all the spring birds coming back, it is even nice to see the gulls again.

This is an entrance to a Cable bridge at this park. I love the towering beams holding the cables up at each end.

It is a small suspension bridge held by lots of heavy duty cables. But they suggest only 2 people at a time. It really gets to moving as you walk across it. I will have to go back there again for better photos. It was pretty cold and still slippery with ice everywhere.

  1. Love your pictures. So bright; so beautiful; so blue. The weight limit on the bridge is only 2 people? But the weight of people are different from one person to another. LOL. It looks like a much stronger bridge for just two people.

    1. Thank you, yes the cables on this bridge are pretty strong. I walked across it by myself and the bridge really moves. I am thinking to many people, it might start moving to much😊.

  2. I like how the ice breaks up into sheets like that … you have really captured the blue of the water and sky and the seagull looks extra “bright white” against the sky.

    1. I was out for a drive and there was a huge flock of gulls flying over some farmland. That blue sky was so pretty with all the little spots of white.

      1. You, like me, like gulls. I like how they glide in the sky. At Lake Erie Metropark when I was last there, an eagle flew over the park in the distance and next thing I saw lots of seagulls. They were everywhere, so he really scared them. I’ve never seen that many seagulls. I took photos but was in the sun and the photos were not clear.
