The First Flower Buds on a Tree
The First Flower Buds on a Tree, it has been a rainy couple of days, so taking photos seemed out of reach. But, when the rain stopped for a moment, I could see the first signs of flowering buds on a tree across the driveway so I got my camera and took a few shots. So nice to see and all of a sudden one day I will look out the window and there will be leaves on all the trees. I love that when it happens.
I have no idea what kind of tree this is. There are only a handful of them with these buds on them. I will wait and see what comes next, unless anyone knows what they are. π

Laugh on the even and odd days, You can cry on the other ones
Yes, they have the colors of autumn. But, ant color is nice right now. π
They sure look delicate Sandra … I thought I have seen seen some of these clusters flying from the trees around here, so I Googled reverse images, thinking it was some type of maple, but the image did not identify it for me. They sure are colorful though.
So pretty…they almost have an autumnal look…ironic! π
Yes, all the orange and reds, it is nice to see the colors though. π Thank you Mary
An image search says it is witch-hazel, there are several kinds but this looks to be probably Japanese witch-hazel.
Thank you very much Grace, I will look those up. I should get one of those apps, I have heard of them. π
I work on a desktop computer (iMac) and when I right click on a photo or image I get a menu that includes the choice “Search Google for image” …and that’s what I use.
Well, I did not know that. Thank you for the tip. I will be using that a lot. π
beautiful. Such gorgeous colours…
Thanks, Sandra. Have a great day.
You also Francine π thank you.
beautiful
Thank you Maurice.
most welcome
Lovely pictures ππ
Thank you very much π
To find out you need to find a tree site and check the flowers to hopefully find the Match. If not phone a Garden Center they might be able to assist you with this challenging situation.
Thank you, I will do that. π
You are welcome. Let me know how you make out finding a match.
Another blogger right clicked on my photo and clicked Google search. She came up with Witch Hazel, it looked very similar and when you search for anything, more examples pop up. Just from that I believe it is a Maple tree. Amazing how the search engine works. But I think I would still like a book with photos of bark, leaves and such. I am looking into that. π
Look for Maple Trees. Check Quebec Maple Trees that produce sap to become Maple syrup Sandra
They look like they have a bad hair day π but they are so full of hope. Spring is around the corner! πβ
Yes, it is going to snow here tonight. But it won’t stay to long, so I don’t mind. Have a good day Jo.
Nooo! No more snow!!!!!
I know, tonight and tomorrow night it will be cold enough for the rain to turn to snow and the grass is really green right now. π
