The Blob
The Blob – did you ever see the movie, the Blob, I think it came out back in the 70’s. This first photo reminded me of that movie as these little birds are trying to run away from the foam in the water.
These little sand pipers are made for running, they are such a fast little bird running on the beach.
These feet are made for standing, knobby knees and all. The gulls don’t do a lot of running on the beach. They can stand for a long time, just watching and looking for a an opportunity to find some food.

I never saw “The Blob” but it looks like your little birds are pretty fine with it. I can’t believe all the shells on the beach!

I love sand pipers. I’ve seen lots of them in Îles-de-la-Madeleine, they’re are so cute and so fast !

Well you are partially right about the blob. There was a 1972 satirical sequel to the blob called Beware of the blob directed by Larry “I dream of Jeanie” Hagman, to the original which came out in the 50’s starring Steve McQueen.

I think the first version of The Blob came out in the 1950’s and it scared the heck out of me for weeks!! I’m sure that I’m now mature enough not to have nightmares!!
Yes, it was the worst movie back then. I saw clips of it awhile ago as i had to look it up. Now i had to laugh because the graffics were notngood compared to what they make now a days. .
I dissagree. I’ll practical effects any day. Oh and there was a remake to the blob that came out in 1988 (who me a movie buff) 😆
Everything now a days is green screen. Just not the same. 😀
Nope…i prefer both live action and animation BC (before computers)
