Beauty of Frost and Sunlight, I went out to feed the birds this morning as it dipped back down to 7 Deg F. The sun was just starting to come through the trees and the frost on the glass bird feeder was just sparkling in the morning light.
Water Falls in the Winter, I hope everyone had a good weekend. It has been some strange weather everywhere. It warmed up a bit here so I headed to the water falls to see what they looked like and took a few photos.
This photo below was taken last summer just to show you what is coming soon. 💕
Creating Bokeh Lights in Photos, I love taking photos to create the circles of light that they refer to as Bokeh. It is where you put the light behind your subject and zoom in. It right up there next to sparkles for me.
Just a Little Ice Formations at the Lake this month. When the sky’s are blue the ice is blue. The reflection of light. Everything is in winter hibernation, even me when it is this cold out.
Shades of Winter Blues, there are so many shades of blue in the winter. Blue happens to be my favorite color and then green. Must be why I like the forest, lakes and oceans. Amazing how each season has an abundance of color for our eyes to see.
Blue is the rarest color in nature and most often not the result of pigment. Most things in the natural world that appear blue come from the refracting of light through structures designed to reflect this color.
And he made the vail [of] blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubim’s thereon
Doe a Deer a Female Deer, Ray a Drop of Golden Sun. Perfect line for todays photos because the sun actually came out for the first time in days. I stepped out the door with my camera in hand and off they ran. So I was able to get a couple of photos.
They have a way of looking right at me.
The two photos below are the same as the one above. Another blogger suggested cutting out the dark area above the deer. This first one I cropped it out but I feel it has to much for ground in it.
This second one I added some background to even out the photo and have the deer in the center of the photo. Which do you like better?
Happy 1st of February, yes there is still lots of snow, but I wanted to start seeing some colors this month. Winter can be so long sometimes. It will be near 40 degrees this week, but then it will be back to -4 F a few days later.
So I will warm my thoughts with some colorful photos mixed in over the next couple of months.
By February I am thinking how nice it will be when the grass starts to grow, and that first lawn mowing when the grass smells so good.
But, every morning there are still icicles hanging around.
The Art of Cold Weather, What do you think this might be? To me it looks like a topographical map. Looking at a mountain range from the air in the winter. It almost has a 3 dimensional look to it. Video below.
It is the frost on my windshield this morning. Single digit temperatures can create quite the art pattern on glass. I have never seen anything like it.
The Power of the Sun
Creation is so beautiful in its simplest form. From the smallest things like the sun melting the frost from the side of my car. There seems to be a lot of chaos going on around the world. But if you can relax in the thought of the Father, you don’t worry so much about what man is doing without the Father.
I can see Stability more and more with Him, then without Him. Stability to me means no fear, it gives us the power to stand strong within our faith. Stability is often used to describe structures that won’t collapse or fall down. 💕
What Do You See, As you may notice, I don’t have one certain subject that I photograph. I take photographs in the moment, picking up a camera can actually make you see things completely different. Making me slow down and enjoy looking at something as simple as frost on the windows.
I took these photos yesterday morning when it was 3 degrees outside. I sat down at my dinning room table and went to look out the window and this is what I saw. I sat here in deep thought looking at this art work on the window, beautiful art work that made me feel warm, (mainly because I was on the inside), but this art is only here for a few seconds. Mesmerizing to me as it slowly disappears in the morning sun light.
We each have different desires, memories, personality types, and artistic preferences. These differences will drive our connection with various art-forms. Artists have no control over this, nor should they. We create work that moves us and inevitably, we hope this work will find other kindred spirits.
Remember, your photographs are capturing a moment in time. That will never be duplicated. Each one is a piece of art, creation, you and I.
When you clothe yourself with the Words of the Father, Your Beauty will shine from within.
Where the Noise Disappears, I had tuned in to some news reports yesterday. To have an idea what is going on in this country here. It got to the point I could not listen to anymore. Why is it when humans speak, it becomes a level of noise beyond comprehension at times.
But when I walk out into this place that surrounds me here, in the early morning Light, the noise disappears. The silence is healing to me, it is refreshing, it is glorious.
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Happy New Year 2021, and what a way to start this beautiful day. I looked out the window as the pink light was dancing across the sky. Snow covered trees and the moon up above.
Genesis tells you this, there is eternity in the Spirit.  By the time your eyes open in the present the future has already become your past.  When the moon is overhead a new day starts. Â
The sun came out today for the first time in many days, its rays were stretching out through the snow as I walked around enjoying the warmth of its light.
As I enter this new year on such a bright beautiful day, I pray for strength and peace for everyone. To stand strong in these trying times, to know and understand that we were created for a purpose.
Listen to your heart thoughts of you, knowledge is always stronger than wisdom. But they cannot exist without the other. One does not rule over the other, they are co-joined, separate but equal.
Such beauty from sunup to sundown, with the soft colors of the morning light, to the golden shadows as the sunsets to another day.
Life is a teaching experience we are either taught or we mimic back. Embrace Life
The Geese are Back on the River, I like watching the geese landing on water, just like the Pelicans, they use those large webbed feet to skid across the water as if they are sliding into home every time.
This group was flying low and coming right at me. They swooped up just as they got close. I think it was looking right at me.
This one was flying over a little ice on the water, amazing how they can just touch the water with the wing tips at times.
Now this one, I am going to guess it is a snow goose, but it may be a pet to someone. It was in a field by some grain bins. It looks a little plump for those small wings. Eating a tad to much corn maybe.
