Symmetry in Nature
Symmetry in Nature involves parts that are similar or balanced in some way.
When you look closely at a birds wings, one would be in awe as I am to see the symmetrical design of each feather and how it all fits together. It is truly a piece of art created with a purpose, each and every feather.

These pictures remind me of one of my favorite quotes: “Your deepest presence is in every small contracting and expanding, the two as beautifully balanced and coordinated as birdwings.” ~Rumi
Well said, I like that. Thank you Linda.
Nice
Always fascinating how ornate and detailed the overall pattern becomes once the individual feathers are seen as a whole. Functional in purpose, yet beautiful in design – hard for us to reproduce, but such an evident part of nature.
Yes, I really enjoy photographing the larger birds just to be able to see their wing spans and how many different types of feathers make up a wing. A beautiful thing.😊
That pelican looks “compact” the way it is sitting in the last photo – you’d never imagine that it would have such a wide wingspan as you see in the second photo.
Just beautiful, Sandra!
Thank you Kellye 😊
Me too, I am always amazed with the symmetrie of bird feathers!
Yes, up close is quite the thing to see. Most all of them in a nice row. Once in awhile there might be one missing..😊

Thank you Sandy, I do like seeing the wing spans on birds. Truly a site of beauty. 🙂

Yes Denzil, they are so beautiful and yet they have such a prehistoric look to them. 🙂
