Summer Coat and Winter Coat
Summer Coat and Winter Coat, I finally saw a couple deer the other day. It is deer season so they have been hiding in the woods I think. The first photo was this past summer.
I have never taken a photo of a deer in winter, what a difference their fur coats are. In winter they look like they have a turtle neck sweater on with the patch of white under their chin.
They did not stick around long, they checked for some left over bird seed and then went on their way.

You said the deer’s winter coat. They don’t look like they’re wearing parkas to me. And summer coats?? T-Shirts are good enough in the hot weather. Other than that these pictures are great as always.

Yes, they get by with lighter ware. I am the one that gets cold with the parka on. Hmm. They know something more than we do.🙂

That’s interesting as I never thought of deer having two different coats – of course any deer I see are far away, except the cute spotted fawn a few years ago. That was a rare occurrence. I like how they stood and posed for you – obviously they realized you were friend, not foe.
Yes, I have neve seen them this close in the winter. Even prettier this time of year.
