Spring Fever is Here

Spring Fever is Here

Spring Fever is Here, especially when I see the Goldfinches are back. That little touch of yellow brightens the day.

  1. I’ve never been lucky enough to see a goldfinch in the Winter, just in the Summer and they are a bright burst of yellow. You have captured yellow and red colors in these beautiful birds today.

      1. You have the best seat in the house to view these beautiful birds at your birdfeeder Sandra. Is the deer still showing up and having birdseed?

  2. Enjoying the little bird house my daughter bought me which is set right up next to our big glass door. love watching the birds come for seeds and push each other away…very restful to watch. Makes those scriptures about the sparrows come alive. Even though earth provides them food we human like to supplement it. I see us as that little bird, provided for my God and Him using we human to supplement ours and others needs and wants. Lovely post.

    1. Very beautifully said. Yes I have been feeding birds and building houses for them for years. Even though they can do all that them selves. It is very comforting to relax and watch them. πŸ™‚

  3. Hoping the finches’ golden glow is bringing with it a warmer breeze. Who needs a calendar to mark the seasons when we have birds:) Spring has sprung here for us with the return of the bluebirds. The hills seem to be alive with their dialogue. I’ve already caught a couple of pairs inspecting our birdhouses.

    1. That would be quite the sight Beth, I have only seen one blue bird about 2 years ago. Yes He marks the seasons in so many beautiful ways. Since I have retired a few years ago, I have lost track of calendar days and months. But like you said, He already shows us the time to plant, the time to harvest. I know the months by the size of the moon more now. πŸ™‚

      1. I think that ar least two other states have the Goldfinch as their State Bird! Once in upper Pennsylvania I saw at least 100 of them in a flock! The trees looked like they had yellow Christmas ornaments!πŸ˜„

        1. πŸ™‚ yes, they usually don’t stop on the log there where the seed is at. I think he was just checking out the log πŸ™‚
