Song Birds

Song Birds

Song Birds – this first picture is a bird called a song sparrow. It has a very pretty bird call. This was the only bird around our place last month. I am not sure where they all went, but it is was pretty quiet here for quite awhile, except for this one little bird who would sing every time I put some bird food out for it.

In the video below you can hear the sounds of the song sparrow and some bird sounds from earlier this spring. Song Bird Sounds

  1. Great closeups of the Song Sparrow Sandra – the coloring of the bird and stick all meshes together. Pretty colorful birds as well – Cardinals have always been a favorite of mine.

      1. I feel badly for the cardinal pair here who had the nest in the barberry. I had the two trees cut down and neighbors on either side had big trees cut down. So now the pair are not around. I hear her tweeting as she was the one who came over to see me the most and I’d offer peanuts, but she doesn’t come down to the ground … I just hear her. I don’t want to leave any peanuts around now due to the “creature” in the burrow.

  2. Thank you Sandra. What a great film. Wonderful place you have there. Word spreads fast throughout the animal kingdom when there’s free food and great hosts. I bet the temps were just about perfect. I also like the attached labels. Very good

    1. Thank you RJ, my grandfather gave me my first bird feeder when I was 6 years old. I have been feeding them ever since. They truly bring joy to my heart.

    1. We will be following the bird migration soon as well. I know why they like going there in the winter. I am right behind them.😊

    1. Thank you Rob, I am getting that way as well, my husband will ask what bird is that singing and the majority of the time I can’t hear it either.
