That’s a beautiful boardwalk – very rustic, I like it and I also like this Pelican posing perfectly for you, even lifting its foot a little. I didn’t realize Pelicans were so large.
My goodness. How dignified. Did you feed it?
They are when their on land. I had no food for it. But I had my camera bag on the ground and when I was opening it the Pelican came right over looking for food.
Oh, goodness!!! Used to people… I bet that was an exciting encounter.
It was, there are certain marinas where fishermen clean fish and they throw the scrap to the pelicans and those places the pelicans practically run right to you if you open something.
Wow!
I’m a big fan of pelicans, so that photo gave me a smile 🙂
So am I Dave. They are such a unique bird. 😊
I can almost hear Otis Redding.
Just those few words and I can hear it as well 🙂

Thank you very much Francine 🙂
“Wastin’ time!” Cute pelican.
Yep, my favorite thing to do when on a dock overlooking the ocean 😉
I’m rarely on at the ocean or on a dock. The last time I was the San Diego Dock in 2019.
I only see the ocean in the winter. It is such a relaxing place to be to avoid the snow.
Nice photo, Sandra. And now I have an earworm to sing.
Yes, I love that ear worm 🙂
Perfect song for a very hot summer!
Yes, a great summer song when enjoying the outdoors. 🙂
Nice pelican shot and a great song too Sandra !
Have a lovely day.
Thank you, I love that song. Just saying those words I can hear the melody. Have a wonderful day also. 😊
