Precious Are We
Precious Are We, these two lovely ducks were walking along in the park. One looks a little ruffled, maybe it is the younger of the two. I added some flowers to the photo because they just looked like they should be enjoying flowers on this beautiful Autumn day. But there was another duck not far behind them. A grumpy looking duck to say the least.
Now it could just be the dark feathers around his eye, but he looks like he is having a bad day, giving my the ole stink eye like some of the deer did last year when I photographed them. π
He is unique, but I have to say his feathers are just as beautiful as the two from above.
His back feathers look like a warm throw blanket, with a beautiful design all his own.

Yes, thank you π
I always like seeing the Pekin ducks at Elizabeth Park. They travel together in a group, away from the Mallards and always look happy. I think the colorful duck is a Mallard Hybrid. I only see those at Elizabeth Park too and they only hang out with the Pekins. It’s like a hierarchy of ducks there. π
That is the name of them. I could not remember, I heard that name from your post. π
They are pretty and the type of fuzzy yellow ducklings that people buy for Easter.
Are ducks all? Also white? Beautiful shot!
Yes, ducks seem to come in a lot of colors, the white ones might be part domesticated. I am not sure though.
Lovely! The grumpy duck seems to be walking with extreme determination!
Gwen.
Yes Gwen, that is what I thought as well.

Sandra, thank you for this nostalgic photos. The first one reminded me of my Cherry Valley Duck pets back then. Blessings to you and your family!
