Pet Portraits

Pet Portraits

Pet Portraits, I have been busy making pet portraits for the folks that are camping near us and thought I would share a couple of them.

These are photos that folks have taken with their phones and text them to me. I then edit the photos and use several techniques to turn them into paintings. Now there was a few photos people sent to me that I just could not fix. Those photos that are way out of focus don’t work to well. But for the most part I can work with a lot of them.

This cat below is our cat. What a difference it makes in a photo depending on if the cats eyes are dilated or not.

Check out the link below if you would like me to make a portrait of your pet. It is simple as sending me a photo from your phone and I will do my best to make a painting for you. 🙂

  1. Am going to start bogs on our online dog newspaper just recommending other lovely doggy sites. No charge, makes lovely reading. With love and woofs. Alison and JET the creative director of HAPPYDOGGYNEWS.COM ♥️🐕‍🦺 Let us know if you think this is a nice idea for you

  2. I love it. I wonder how many pet photographers are there? Even with all of the modern tech tools available to many, pet photography sounds lucrative. 🍮❤️🍮❤️

      1. Funny thing too, they seem to know that they are being photographed. Those cute furry posers.😍💫

      2. They keep me smiling also. I think I would like being a pet photographer. How fun it would be to capture their special moments. 💥💓💥

      1. You do a wonderful job on them Sandra. The plein air artist who organized the plein air painting group I wrote about last year does oil paintings of people’s pets. I follow both him and the group on Facebook and I see his paintings. They are a big hit at Christmas. He showed us each one as he finished it.

  3. Your portraits are lovely! I’m going to have to persuade family members I need one for a birthday.

    1. Hello May, yes portraits are so nice to have of our pets, children and family. I can also help you with that. Have your children go to my art web page and I can make a portrait/painting from a photo on your phone or there phone. I would love to make one for you, have a wonderful day. 😊https://sandrajsphotographyfinearts.zenfoliosite.com/home

    1. They are, I do love seeing all the different expressions on animals that really show up nice in photos. Sometimes funny ones as well.

    1. Thank you, I have always had pets of one kind or another, dogs, cats, horses. There is just something about looking into their eyes that can be mesmerizing and beautiful . 🙂

  4. 💜 Those “way out of focus photos” SJ; consider doing your best and letting human “pet” family member decide, after all we are all accepting of abstract art 🎨 💙 ❤️ 😀 😊 ♥️ 🎨

    1. That is true, but I have tried to paint those and digital painting actually makes it worst, the pet itself becomes unrecognizable, it is more like an abstract painting for sure. Buy that is why I offer to take a photo for those folks if I can for free. 😊

      1. 💜 Fully Understood SJ; keep up the good work, grow, develop and continue learning
