Pet Photography

Pet Photography, autumn is the best time to take photos of your pets I think. With all the warm colors and crunchy leaves all around. So my Chloee is the subject of today’s post because she poses so well for photos.

I have two dogs and I got them both at a shelter, Chloee is 11 years old now.

This little one below is Deohgee, she doesn’t pose as well because she is a bit on the twitchy side. She can’t sit still, always on the go and she is 15 years old.

I have been learning a new technique in the digital painting world and love how it allows my imagination to come to life when it comes to my photography. I am always wanting to learn new things and enjoy letting my creativity expand beyond just taking a photo.

  1. Lovely pictures of beautiful dogs. Whenever I notice Jack Chi doing some cute pose I try ti get my phone camera out. But every single time he stops doing whatever it is he’s doing and I never get the snap. Frustrating!

  2. Great shots Sandra – my wife does a lot of business photographing agility dog shows as well as dog/owner portraits. I say harder than kids as you can at least reason with a kid ha!

    1. Thank you, yes I agree. It helps having husband there to hold her attention or let them play first so their tired, well like kids a little bit also. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  3. My doggie was also named Chloe. She was an absolute doll but she hated to be photographed.
I swear she knew what was going on and believed it would take her soul or perhaps poison her. Every time I tried to get a picture of her she would look away. I tried even getting my camera or my phone ready ahead of time and then call her to me, but sheโ€™d come toward me with her head down and then would turn her face away as she came into view. Psychic.
I have many photos of her, but very few where I was able to capture her face well. Chloe died 14 months ago and I still miss her every single day.

    1. I know what you mean Emilie, mine still do that unless I have a treat or husband is helping. The cat never looks away, she doesn’t much care I don’t think. It is so hard to lose our dogs or any pet, they don’t live long enough. But I love them dearly while they are here. Thank you Emilie.

    1. Thank you very much, my little dog is a little harder to photograph, but they always make me smile. Have a wonderful day ๐Ÿ˜Š
